DIY Orange Garland

Orange garland is probably my favorite decor piece during the fall and winter seasons. It’s so easy, so affordable, and it’s sustainable. I’ve made a few garlands over the years and I love that I can bring them back out to use again and again.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 3-5 navel oranges, depending on how long you want your garland to be

  • baking sheet and parchment paper

  • string or twine

  • scissors and a sharp knife

Cut orange slices to about 1/8 inch thickness

Lay the slices out on a paper towel and pat them dry as best you can

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and fill baking sheet with slices

Set the oven to 275

Bake oranges for at 2-3 hours until dried out or slightly browned

Let the oranges cool, then create two holes through the flesh of the orange to stitch the string through so that they lay flat. (I like to use a toothpick)

Hang up and admire your handiwork!
